Welcome!

If you are looking for a friendly group of people that are interested in Oldsmobiles, you've found it! We are a chapter of the Oldsmobile Club of America. While we are generally located around the greater Houston area, we welcome people from all over.

We have a number of our own shows a year and get together for other shows, cruises, and events as well. We have a monthly newsletter, The Rocket Docket, and have a meeting most months.

To find out more about us, have a look around the site and feel free to contact us via the links at the left.

The next Club meeting will be on June 21st, 4:00 pm at Otto's BBQ Restaurant. The address is 11222 Fountain Lake Drive, Stafford, TX 77477. The phone number there is 281-313-6886. They have a Classic Car Cruise Night every Saturday night. We tried this back in February, but the weather was horrible. Maybe this time the weather will cooperate and we can have a great showing of Oldsmobiles!!!

TGCOC March Club Meeting
Posted by 1969ho on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 (22:33:05) (274 reads)

Our March Olds Club meeting was a great success. The meeting was held at the San Jacinto Monument in conjunction with the Special Interest Fords of the 50's Car Club's Show. There were approximately 125 cars there. Woo Hoo! We had a great spot, too, just to the right as you enter the show area. Kathy started cookin' some dogs around 11:30 a.m., and we had our meeting while eating them dogs. We were happy to see one of our newest members, Karen Skelding, show up, too. We also had a potential member bring his 1964 Cutlass convertible. You can see photos of our fun in the Photo Gallery section.

At 2 p.m. the Special Interest Fords of the 50's Car Club gave out door prizes which I think our club members got a lot of them. They also handed out seven awards. The Olds Club received an award for having the most cars from a car club at the show, thirteen, and Don Pylant received a "One of Six" award for his '48 Olds.

Our next Olds Club meeting will be on April 21st, and it's a tour to the Cotton Gin Festival in Burton, Texas. We will be meeting at Prosperity Bank, Barker Cypress exit off of 290 West at 8:00 a.m. I think the plan was to be in the parade, too, so be prompt if you want to tag along with us and practice on your parade wave. Look for more information in your next Club Newsletter, but you can always e-mail or call me and I'll be happy to tell you more.
